But it did look very bad that Markus seemed to be rolling in expensive cars & flashy gear while the brand tanked – and he couldn't save it (I guess the Lambo's were too precious). Anyone wanna buy my Jeffsy, I'd assume it goes up in value similar to how art prices go up when the artist dies. They could also setup Transferable Letters of Credit with the parent to involve the factory and guarantee the factory gets paid. Distribution buys bikes/gear from the brand in another country and is the Importer of Record. Who would suffer the losses if US customs randomly seized all imported bike frames from Taiwan, as they did with Giant frames? Then, there's hopefully less to deal should they reopen. Just operate North American business on our own. "I want you to provide all the core components of my business, but be entirely independent and not carry any of the risks" is not a good negotiating position.

I'm a little sad I wont see a second gen decoy sn with a reliable motor, that bike checked a lot of boxes for me. This sucks big time I owned some YTs and they are Powerfish Casino great bikes super easy to work on and efficient. Not worried about warranty on the frame only. I had bought 11 yt bikes over the years and still have 6 now for me and my boys. As in the new decoy mx4 in small. It has already brought memories that will last us a lifetime.

For me Nukeproof is more interesting (If we are talking about back from ashes brands) I don´t trust this brand anymore. When you knowingly let PE or some bad actor take a financial stake in your business, that is bad for customers. The margins are too thin, and economies of scale in the big brands are too big. Usually results in a big shakeup – usually the manager/coaching staff getting sacked, but sometimes some of the abrasive star players can be cause.

Shitty businesses don't support their products — pretty easy correlation. Stoked to be riding a decoy and a Tues! Markus is a stand up guy, a man of his word and is a strategic leader that wanted his brand back so he could make it great again! For personal reasons I’m super stoked for the brand to be back and with Markus the man with the vision to be back at the helm of this ship! And if it makes some PB commenters ball their tiny little fists and scream, well that's just the icing on the cake. Love the brand not the politics.. To all those short-memory keyboard warriors out there, i have to remind who was the one that was leading the brand before the PE acquisition…YT is a brand with 20 years of history.

Falmouth Week 2026

I know it has slightly more travel (+10mm front and rear) than the Amflow, and obviously the aluminium frame accounts for some but almost 5.5kg heavier than the amflow is wild… Could see myself picking up one of these come the summer time (yes I m ware of what happened with YT previously). Feel like that is a pretty decent spec for the price. Hope you all timed crude & urea futures these last couple of months! German second-hand market is full of new/almost new classic bikes and frames that noone wants to buy.

With a rich maritime heritage and the third largest natural harbour in the world, Falmouth plays host to many events. The Princess Pavilion – Falmouth interactive seating charts provide a clear understanding of available seats, how many tickets remain, and the price per ticket. For the first time in a long time, the Panthers won’t be losing any of their key players. We’ve had the celebration photos, but now it’s time for Penrith’s heartbreak. Cleary took exception to a hit from Mam and reached up with his arm and collected Mam in the face, which the Broncos playmaker took umbrage to. YT sucks and so does every other direct to consumer brand.

Genuinely this sucks, YT made good bikes at a reasonable price. Dear YT "family"If there's one thing that makes my piss boil it's the corporate appropriation of the word family.Kind regardsYour 15th cousin 8 times removed I am just jabbering above, in 35+ years of biking I have still never broken a frame even nowadays when I ride harder than I ever have so I'm not too worried about it. I almost bought one and I'm sure I would've loved it, seems like a pretty solid bike in it got really good reviews… I consider these bikes works of art, I love them, ride them all and just hope I don't damage them into oblivion b/c warranties just aren't a thing with any bikes I own now Still – your art prices / dead artist thing is pretty damn hilarous though…

Preach, people need to know the truth. Everyone thinks private equity killed this brand. After insolvency there was a handshake deal for YT USA to purchase exclusive brand rights and be independently operated. Sometimes that means making less to pay far less taxes….again. You are correct – I don't know any specifics of your circumstances, and thus it was wrong for me to comment. You clearly understand my finances and what is and isn't advantageous for me personally and professionally, better than I do. If I can make(save) more shuttering it than selling it, that's the obvious move. I was making an ancillary point about closing businesses in general!
